10 Inspirational Blogs To Help Change Your Life

If you’re on the path to a major life change, or trying to figure out your passion, then a little inspiration can go a long way. Blogs have been a massive source of inspiration and guidance for me over the last couple of years, and I love nothing more than discovering a new life story that makes me feel like I can do anything.

Over the past few weeks in particular I have been trying to find a simpler way of life, and in doing so have discovered minimalism, which has resulted in not only clearing away a lot of mind clutter, but also half of my possessions! I’ve also become a little bit of a geek and have been getting into money/frugality blogs – and I’ve learnt so much about how to save money, be a better person and live a happier life in the process.

Whether you are planning a career change, need to get out of debt, or just want to feel happier in your day to day life, then I would recommend checking out some of these life-changing blogs. They have all resonated with me recently, and I hope that you will get something from them too!

Zen Habits – Most will be familiar with Leo Babuta’s blog, and for good reason. This site will help you to figure out whats important in life and  give you focus to achieve your goals.

The Minimalists – This site started my foray into clearing out all of my crap and realising I didn’t actually ‘need’ very much to be happy. Couldn’t recommend it more if you feel like you are on the treadmill of life and you would kindly like to get off…NOW!

High Existence – This site could also be called ‘A guide to life’ as that’s pretty much what it is! There are so many useful articles here from how to learn to the 50 secrets of life. Highly recommended.

Exile Lifestyle – Quirky stories and articles from a work traveller and entrepreneur. Great place to find inspirational eBooks too!

Live Your Legend – This place has LOADS of resources to help you find your passion and live it. And the sites motto is ‘change the world by doing what you love’ – who doesn’t want that?!

Be More With Less – A simple blog about rejecting the allure of consumerism and clutter and embracing your passions. There are some great eBooks here too.

Value of Simple – Great site about living more simply and getting your finances in order – if you bury your head in the sand when it comes to money, this site is for you!

Man vs Debt – You don’t actually need to be in debt to appreciate this site – there’s loads of financial and life inspiration here no matter what your circumstances. It’s helped me to save money and think about my life and financial goals…plus I’ve made a nice little cash stash from selling all the crap I didn’t need!

Puttylike – This is one of my newest discoveries and I love it.  The site is about embracing being a ‘multipotentialite’ – a person with many interests and goals who doesn’t like to put themselves in any particular box. If you enjoy loads of different things like me, you will love it too!

Location 180 – All about becoming Location independent and getting out of the 9-5 rat race – if you hate your job, you will find solace here!

  1. good list, thanks

  2. Hi Nicole,

I’m humbled to be included in a list with such awesome people. Thanks for including me!

I don’t want to overwhelm you with more, more, more (that’s not my M.O. after all) but I think Becoming Minimalist would resonate strongly with you. Based on the other folks you mention in this article, Joshua Becker could be your new best friend. He was my introduction to minimalism and, two-and-a-half years later, is still my go-to person for it.

Check him out when you get a chance.

  4. I’ve come across a few of these, but I’ll be checking out the rest! I also find that blogs can be very inspirational and can get you moving in the right direction. It’s always encouraging to read that someone else has done it before. 🙂

  5. Hi there,

    Great list you have there!

I know how it feels to be inspired by the words of others – I have a personal development blog and I write to inspire, encourage and motivate others to lead better lives. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that I’ve made a difference! I’m sure all the bloggers in the list would feel the same.

I’d love for you to check my blog out!

Thanks for the list, again 🙂
