Photo of The Week – Arlington Cemetery In Autumn

Everyone will recall seeing the rows and rows of snow-white gravestones at some point in their lives, and in the flesh, it’s even more eerie than you could ever imagine.

Housing the gravestones of all American soldiers to have died in combat since the Civil War right through to the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan, the grounds are unimaginably huge and it really is hard to take in the fact that each and every stone represents a person.

Confronting, but definitely worth a visit should you ever be in Washington DC.
