Photo Of The Week – The Lights Of Lille At Christmas

Everyone loves Christmas – for me it’s about the food, presents and family, and seeing as it’s almost six months until the big day I wanted to share one of my favorite snaps taken at the Lille Christmas fair a couple of years ago.

Even though the weather was blustery and drab, the streets were lit up with beautiful decorations and festive cheer. I love Europe at that time of year – everyone is happy and enjoying a mug or two of mulled wine in the streets – whats more Christmas than that?! Bring on December, I say!

  1. This is beautiful! I love the Christmas lights that go up around Europe in December. I have seen some of the most elaborate light displays in the streets of tiny little towns. Plus, hot mulled wine is one of my favorite beverages. 🙂

  2. 5 Months until the big day!! I too love Christmas. I usually go somewhere warm for a week but this time I am immersing myself in the snow and Canadian season this year. Looking forward to documenting it with my blog.
