I love the story of this random old Russian tank which sits on a small plot of land in South London. Legend has it that a property developer bought the plot and applied for planning permission to build here, but when it was refused by the local council, he decided to get his own back and moved in the artillery, conveniently with its gun pointing straight towards the council building! True or not, this is one of my favourite London tales.
